Diversity, equity and inclusion are more than just mere buzzwords. They can have a direct impact on innovation, productivity and even ROI. But getting there isn’t easy and often DEI can become all talk with no substance.
Dan Weltin, editor-in-chief for the facility market, which includes FacilitiesNet and fnPrime, spoke with L’Netta Moss, Innovation and Technology Strategic Manager for General Motors about the company’s approach to DEI.
General Motors aspires to be the most inclusive company in the world, according to its CEO Mary Barra on the company’s website. This philosophy permeates throughout the entire company, even its facility management department.
“Being in innovation, diversity is one of those key traits that we want to include and have equality for all individuals," says Moss. "Because without that, you can't foster innovation.”
