Honeywell is recalling its System Sensor L-Series brand of low frequency fire alarm sounders and strobes due to a defect causing the fire alarms to malfunction and fail to alert users of a fire, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice

The fire alarms, frequently used in commercial buildings, were sold by authorized System Sensors installers and fire equipment distributors between March and April 2023. About 29,000 units with model numbers HWL-LF, HWL-LF-BP10, HRL-LF, HRL-LF-BP10, HGWL-LF-BP10, and P2WL-LF, are affected by the recall.

There have been two reports of no and low sound from the fire alarm systems after installations, but so far, no injuries have been reported.
