A woman fell to her death at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. The incident occurred the same day Kenny Chesney performed at the stadium.
According to The Denver Channel, the woman was sitting on an escalator railing at the stadium and fell to the concourse below, dying as a result of her injuries.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of the woman involved in the tragic incident that occurred at the end of Saturday’s concert at Empower Field at Mile High,” stadium officials said in a statement. “There is nothing more important the safety of our guests, and Stadium Management Company is in communication with the Denver Police Department as it investigates this unfortunate situation.”
This is the third fall-related death that has occurred at Empower Field at Mile High over the past seven years. Previous deadly falls occurred in 2015 and 2016.
