Wire Tool Attachments Recalled Due to Injury Hazard

Squids 3705 Wire Tool Attachments – Screw Gate Tool Tail -- are being recalled by the manufacturer Ergodyne due to an injury hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, the wire tool attachments can break when dropped if attached to a tool weighing more than two pounds, posing an injury hazard to bystanders.
These types of products are used to securely tether tools to prevent them from falling on those below while working at heights. Facility managers who own the tool attachment should stop using immediately and contact Ergodyne for a prepaid shipping label to return the product a receive a refund in the form of a credit toward another Ergodyne product.
The recalled products were purchased at any safety product distributors between September 2018 and July 2023. There have been no reports of injuries.
