Primo Water Operations has recalled about 11,000 Primo hTrio Multi-purpose beverage dispensers because hot water can drip from the unit when used at high elevation, posing a burn hazard. The company has received three reports of hot water leakage at altitude, including one burn injury, according to U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall 18-132.

The recall affects Primo hTrio Multi-Purpose beverage dispensers purchased between January 2017 and December 2017. The dispensers provide both hot and cold water and brew 6, 8, and 10 ounce hot beverages. Model numbers 601225, 601229, and 601240 are printed on the bottom of the product and Primo is printed on the front. The malfunction occurs in areas at or above 6,000 feet in elevation.

Facility managers affected by this recall are directed to stop using the dispensers and contact the company for a free replacement. Primo can be reached at http://www.primowater.com or at 866-429-7566.
