Pressure Washers Recalled Due to Burn Hazard

The battery in the electric start system of the pressure washers can overheat, posing a burn hazard.   January 17, 2024

Manufacturer FNA Group is recalling its Simpson Gas Pressure Washers line of products due to a defect that may cause the lithium-ion battery in the electric start system to overheat. There have been two reports of this overheating malfunction happening, but no injuries have been reported, according to the Consumer Safety Product Commission’s recall notice

The pressure washers being recalled are model number PS61264. The products were sold at Lowe’s stores between March and July 2023.

If facility managers purchased this gas pressure washer, they should stop using the product and contact FNA Group for instructions on how to get a free repair for their unit. The repair includes replacing the battery with a sealed lead acid battery.
