The sanitary sewer in Boston has to be old. What challenges do you face maintaining systems such as the sanitary sewer system, and how do you prevent major problems from happening in the 7th inning when thousands of fans flush at once?
That's a great question and since I am fairly new here, I can't give a specific answer to that. But over the past ten years, the ownership group here at the Red Sox has invested $285 million to upgrade the infrastructures as well as a lot of the other aesthetics and amenities in the park. But a lot of what was upgraded was infrastructure as well, so I'm certain that many of the sewer systems inside the park have been upgraded.
And quite honestly, we very rarely have any type of sewage backup. We haven't had any since I've been here.
