In general, what is the overall impact on commercial real estate interiors due to the changes in the 2015 IBC?
Commercial real estate interiors will not be heavily impacted by the changes to the 2015 International Building Code. However users of the new IBC edition will be impacted by the changes due to it's extensive reformatting, especially in Chapter 10: Means of Egress. If you were a regular user of previous editions of the code, you can look forward to needing to use the index to find code sections that where once familiar, but now have different numbers. Many of the changes clarify intent where there were conflicts in interpretation or application.
