FM Pulse: Salary Survey Data Shows Optimism from FMs
Building Operating Management's annual FM Pulse salary survey shows how FM salary and benefit trends regionally and at various levels in an FM organization.
Information for the survey was gathered during August, September, and October 2019 and included 1,216 responses. Salary and raise information is reported as the median amount. The median indicates a middle point of data. Half who responded earned less than the median, while half earned more. Numbers that are extremely high or low do not distort it. Some charts may not add to 100 percent because of rounding.

Numbers Game: Budgets and Staffing
Once again, in 2020, far more FM Pulse survey respondents expect increases in their staff and capital and operating budgets than foresee decreases. Comparing current-year results with projections from last year’s survey shows that FMs were slightly optimistic in their forecasts, with more cuts and fewer gains than expected.
