Deadly Fungus Threatens Medical Facilities

A deadly fungal infection that is resistant to major antimicrobial medications is spreading globally, and the fungus persists on surfaces and has been documented spreading from person to person within hospitals and clinics. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention first issued an alert about drug-resistant C. auris in 2016 and today describes it as a "serious threat." Click here for more information.
