New York Tops List of Legionnaires' Cases

New York posted a record number of cases of Legionnaires' disease in 2018 and a significantly higher rate than any other state in the country per capita, according to the Alliance to Prevent Legionnaires’ Disease. New York reported 1,009 cases reported to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention — a 38 percent increase in cases compared to 2016.
