WATER-SAVING RETROFIT KIT

ENERGY REPORTING APP

KINETIC ENERGY STORAGE
Calnetix: The company’s Vycon Direct Connect (VDC) XE generates 300kW of power using patented flywheel technology. The system stores kinetic energy in the form of a rotating mass and is designed for high power, short discharge applications. The patented technology within the VDC system includes a high-speed motor generator, active magnetic bearings that are used to levitate and sustain the rotor during operation, and a control system that can provide information on the system performance. It is a Class 0.2 (± 0.2 percent accuracy) four quadrant, multi-function three-phase energy meter. Features embedded harmonic analyzer, voltage and current THD, current TDD and K-Factor, inter harmonics THD up to 50th order harmonic.
PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS
LG Electronics: The company’s flagship LG NeON 2 panels produce energy from both the front and back. By absorbing light from even the backside, the cells raise efficiency. The product takes advantage of the Internet of Things to enable a convergence of building systems including HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems into a centralized hub. This convergence has the potential to provide FMs with more intelligent building data, driving greater insight into the building operations.
SIMULATE POWER QUALITY
Schaffner EMC: Allowing users to model and simulate low-voltage, 3-phase network topologies, PQS3 is an update to the company’s Power Quality Simulation tool. The update includes more robust active filter simulation and engine power and accuracy enhancements. It features a refreshed GUI design featuring wiring by left-click, and delete by delete button functionality and enhanced sharing functionality — simply copy the URL link. Generator model included, customer-specific AC line chokes functionality now available, and 18-pulse autotransformer “Mitigator” included. The program simulates power, current and voltage at all network modes, and supports the proper selection of harmonic mitigation technologies.
MOBILE POWER MONITORING
ASCO Power Technologies: New capabilities for the ASCO 5170 Quad-Ethernet Module expand the type of information facility managers can access through mobile devices about on-site power systems. The 5170 Quad-Ethernet Module is a proactive connectivity interface for communicating information on real-time power monitoring, control, and historical insight of automatic transfer switches, engine-generators and their loads, and a utility power source. Open Modbus and SNMP capabilities provide the flexibility to aggregate and present raw data via the ASCO Critical Power Management System, a conventional building management system, a data center infrastructure management (DCIM) platform, or a network operations center.
TRANSFER SWITCHES
Russelectric:With a 20 to 50 percent smaller footprint than earlier models, the Russelectric Medium-Voltage (5-15kV) Circuit Breaker-Type Automatic Transfer Switches and Bypass/Isolation Switches can be configured for open- or closed-transition transfer, with automatic or manually initiated operation. All switch functions are controlled by the RPTCS programmable microprocessor-based control system.
