This gives facility managers a powerful tool to minimize energy consumption, maximize comfort, and achieve sustainable building operations.

ENERGY RECYCLING SYSTEM
Neutopia ecoSOLUTIONS: The company guarantees its Energy Recycling System, a combination of solutions to up-cycle the energy resources already in the building, can reduce electricity bills 20 to 50 percent. The offering makes use of the wasted energy on the electric grid, from gas lines, air pressure, heating/chilling, and even from walls in a building. The company offers plug-and-play installation within four hours and average payback periods are 3 to 5 years.

ENERGY STORAGE
Northern Power Systems: A fully integrated energy storage system tailored to FM’s needs in terms of power and energy, the FP2000 FlexPhase power conversion system has a wide range of DC voltage optimization, able to be effective with flow, lithium, lead acid, and other chemical batteries, as well as storage options such as flywheels. The product provides utility grid support, including frequency regulation, VAR support/power quality, peak shaving/load shifting, sub-station resiliency, and renewable integration. It also provides behind-the-meter support, including demand management, time-of-use, back-up power, and critical load support.

RE-GENERATIVE ELEVATOR
Schindler: Improving building efficiency, the Schindler 7000 high-rise elevator uses permanent magnet motors and Power Factor 1 drives to reduce energy consumption by up to 35 percent compared to traditional elevator drives. The product also uses less heat than traditional drives. The product re-generates energy back into the building’s electrical system, and that power can be used for other building demands such as lighting, air conditioning, and plug loads. The product incorporates PORT Technology, an advanced destination-dispatching system for a new level of passenger communication and elevator utility.

KINETIC ENERGY STORAGE
