What has pursuing Energy Star certification for your facilities allowed you to do that might not otherwise have taken place?

Two things. First it has helped us engage school staffs, particularly those in schools that were not achieving a qualifying rating of 75 in helping us conserve utilities because they wanted to earn their plaque and recognition. Second, it provides us a nationally recognized, objective benchmark to demonstrate that we are being good stewards of the tax money we are managing.
