Eye on Energy: Benchmarking Works, Study Says

A study on the impact of benchmarking on large office and apartment buildings in New York City demonstrates that providing occupants with insight into their energy use can promote efficiency. New York University’s Center for Urban Science Progress and Urban Green conducted the study. It examines the impact of a 2009 law that mandated that buildings of 50,000 square feet or more annually report energy and water consumption. Click here for more information.
