The Energy Center of Wisconsin has developed the Back-of-the-Envelope Calculator to give managers easier insight into the energy use and environmental impacts of a proposed commercial building project. The calculator is available for free download and provides real-time energy connections among building components, isolates the effects of a change to one energy parameter, and produces concept-level energy estimates. Managers can see real-time energy connections and calculate total carbon dioxide emissions for a building’s electricity and gas use. Click here for more information.
