DOE Updates Tools for Building Energy Modeling

The U.S. Department of Energy's Building Technologies Office released updated versions of two whole-building energy modeling tools: EnergyPlus engine and the OpenStudio software development kit and application. Whole-Building energy modeling is a versatile, multipurpose tool that is used in new building and retrofit design, code compliance, green certification, qualification for tax credits and utility incentives, and real-time building control.
