New Guides Target Plug and Process Loads

To help managers identify appropriate control strategies for institutional buildings, the Better Buildings Alliance published a series of decision guides for plug and process load controls that detail control strategies, including awareness campaigns, advanced power strips, and design considerations. Plug and process loads consume nearly one-third of primary energy in U.S. commercial buildings, and their energy use is projected to grow as the number and intensity of plug-in devices continue to increase.
