Data Defined: New Resource Aims To Standardize Terms

A new online reference dictionary aims to standardize terms and definitions used by the various data depositories of building performance data. The Building Energy Data Exchange Specification (BEDES), developed by the U. S. Department of Energy and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, is a dictionary of terms, definitions, and field formats. It was created to help facilitate the exchange of information on building characteristics and energy use. Click here for more information.
