The BioTray is a biodegradable, modular system that features 17-inch, square trays composed of natural latex and coconut coir. Unlike traditional modular systems, the coconut fiber decomposes over time and the module becomes growing media. This process eliminates the use of plastic in growing and installing vegetative roofs. The trays can accommodate young plants, so facilities can pre-establish the vegetation in an off-site nursery.
