The Ballastar light-level switching ballast for T8 lamps provides light level control by switching from full light to 50-percent power using standard wall switches or relays.

Ballastar light-level switching incorporates two "hot" power leads. Switching one lead on provides 50-percent power while having both switches on provides 100-percent power.

The ballast also features high-efficiency operation and complies with the CEE requirements for high performance T8 lighting. There is no efficiency trade-off for switching control. Programmed starting is incorporated into the design, and the new ballast is designed to operate either one or two F32T8, F25T8, or F17T8 lamps.

Full light ballast factor is .88. It complies with ANSI ballast requirements and includes end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry with auto re-strike. Universal input voltage allows for this ballast to be connected to any voltage from 120 to 277 volts at 50 or 60 hertz. THD is less than 10 percent for all two-lamp applications.
