Toro’s Z300 Series subcompact riders fit through standard 36- and 42-inch gates. The Z Master Z334 and Z340 mowers feature 34- and 40-inch cutting decks and a 19-hp Kawasaki V-twin engine. A cast-iron spindle housing with a 9 3/8-inch base absorbs impact loads and distributes them across the deck shell, which is made of 7-gauge steel that measures 5 inches deep. The patented design of the rubber discharge chute allows for close trimming without damaging the chute or landscape structures.
Additional features of the Z300 Series mowers include:
-- 8 mph forward ground speed and up to 5 mph reverse ground speed
-- a 1-inch to 4 1/2-inch cutting height that’s adjustable via a foot pedal from the operator’s seat
-- side discharge or mulching capability
-- 7.7-gallon fuel capacity
-- semi-pneumatic flat-free caster tires that help minimize downtime by eliminating flats
-- heavy duty 2- by 2- by 3/16-inch tubular steel carrier frame
-- extra-large 1 5/8-inch diameter adjustable comfort control levers
-- High-back, spring-reinforced seat with arm rests
-- 1/4-inch thick, alloy steel blades to resist flexing and rapid wear associated with abrasive conditions
