All Marks USA Protector Series mortise locksets feature an Override Guard that is designed to result in spindle failure when torque of more than 550 foot pounds is applied. Lockset remains locked and when spindle is replaced, lockset is fully operational. The locksets have a lifetime mechanical warranty, meet or exceed all operational and security tests of ANSI A156.13-1994, Grade 1 and are UL listed for 3-hour fire rating.
