SDC’s modular EmLock design includes interchangeable assemblies that permit field upgrade of all components without removing the lock from the frame. Field upgrade modules include a timer, magnetic bond sensor, door status sensor, anti-tamper switch, holding force upgrade and energy saver upgrade. Facility staff may upgrade or replace any component in five minutes, according to the company.
