Aspirated Smoke Detectors incorporate an "artificial intelligence," which allows the detector to continually optimize its sensitivity. The AIR-Intelligence detectors also monitor the detector chamber and filter cartridge for contamination. The detectors have a particle sensitivity range of .003 to 10 microns, and four programmable alarm thresholds.
