Niagara 4.2, the most recent version of Tridium’s flagship IoT software platform, includes integration of Niagara Analytics 2.0. Together, these releases bring the benefits and efficiencies of data-driven performance to users.

The release of Niagara 4.2 includes Linux support, an alarm portal, and more robust Niagara 4 Supervisor data management. The JACE 8000 legacy drivers are also now supported in this version. Every Niagara 4 Supervisor and JACE 8000 base license will have a base option of Niagara Analytics 2.0 with all features and functionality of the product, and 25 analytical points.

Niagara Analytics 2.0 provides users with an advanced data visualization module, native tagging, reusable rules and a single-tool solution. Version 2.0 also fully integrates with Niagara 4.2, including support for tagging and hierarchies built into Niagara 4. With Analytics, users can detect, diagnose and correct potentially costly operational issues.

“One thing we’ve heard from our partners and customers is that analytics provides a tremendous benefit to their facilities, but can be complex to implement,” said Pranay Prakash, Tridium vice president of product marketing. “With Niagara Analytics 2.0, we’re bringing all the power and ease-of-use of Niagara 4 to this powerful analytics solution. We are combining new real-time analytics at the edge with Niagara historical analytics to deliver a powerful IoT solution. You do not need a data scientist to solve your day-to-day operational issues. If you have Niagara, you can now have cutting-edge analytics run across your entire infrastructure.”

With advanced alarming and controls based on both historical and real-time data, historical trend exceptions and fault detection diagnostics (FDD), Niagara Analytics 2.0 allows users to profit from big data by turning that data into cost-saving measures.
