Offering attractive, contemporary design combined with innovative modern technology, the new Serin collection of sensor-operated faucets from American Standard delivers smooth, reliable performance in even the most demanding commercial environments.
Ideal for high-end commercial applications, including public restrooms in hospitality settings and office buildings, the Serin line offers both deck mount and wall mount options that provide freedom of design for architects and interior designers. The faucet’s sensor is hidden in the spout tip, allowing for a sleek, modern look while reducing potential vandalism.
The wall mount faucet offers an adjustable spout reach of 6 to 9-inches ― allowing for splash-free operation with sinks of different sizes and shapes ― that can be modified during or after installation. Serin deck mount faucets can be installed as a single-hole faucet and also are available with optional 4-inch and 8-inch deck plates to cover existing sinkholes, if needed. Both the wall mount and deck mount faucet model are available in a choice of polished chrome or satin nickel finishes.
Smart Features
All Serin faucets offer self-adapting sensor technology that automatically sets the faucet's detection range by scanning the sink environment at start-up, without the need for adjustment. The sensor recalibrates itself every two minutes to compensate for soap, water droplets and dirt on the sensor lens or sink.
To provide smooth performance, a comfort timer ensures the faucet will stay on for 1.5 seconds after the user’s hands leave the detection zone. This function prevents the faucet from repeatedly turning on and off while the user soaps their hands. Meanwhile, a safety timer helps prevent vandalism by automatically turning the water off when the sensor is blocked for 55 seconds, and resets itself when the blockage is removed.
Serin sensor faucets also feature optional thermostatic mixing valves that prevent scalding and promote efficient water usage. The water temperature can be pre-set during installation for maximum safety and comfort. To save water, specifiers can choose a low flow rate of 0.5 gallons per minute (gpm) with pressure compensating multi-laminar spray, or a 1.5 gpm flow rate with pressure compensating laminar flow.
Flexible Power Options
Designed to suit almost any high-end commercial application, Serin commercial sensor faucets offer a variety of power options:
• CR-P2 lithium battery
• Plug-in or hard-wired AC
• Multi-AC, which can connect up to 15 faucets or flush valves in daisy chain configuration
The new PWRX long-life battery system delivers a 10-year battery life, assuming 4,000 uses per month. Lasting 2.5 times longer than standard batteries, this power option incorporates advanced battery chemistry and electronics to extend the battery life from four to 10 years. This option reduces the downtime and maintenance cost associated with changing batteries. The PWRX long-life battery system becomes available in January 2015, and will be offered as an option on all American Standard sensor faucets.
Serin faucets are lead-free as defined under applicable federal and state laws, and are covered by a five-year limited warranty.
