Electromagnetic door holders cannot be disassembled by hand and offer selectable voltage, allowing for energy savings, according to DORMA Architectural Hardware. The EM series includes a floor- or wall-mounted electromagnet and a door-mounted catch plate. Extension rods up to 12 inches accommodate variable distances between the wall and door.
