The ELCU-100 system allows energy-saving devices, such as occupancy sensors and time-scheduled systems, to control emergency lighting in tandem with non-emergency lighting. It provides control at the branch-circuit level and forces emergency lighting on, even if normal power is interrupted in only part of a building. The system is UL 924 listed and offers wiring options to accommodate different control needs and an input for remote control. This feature allows a fire-alarm or building-security system can activate the emergency lighting. A test button and remote test switch lets users test the system to meet safety codes. Three-colored, light-emitting diodes indicate the presence of normal and emergency power and remote activation to ensure safety.
