Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc. announces the release of its new B-823 manual, counter-mounted foam soap dispenser. Developed to facilitate cost-in-use savings primarily by enabling the switch to universal foam soap jugs from proprietary cartridges, the B-823 meets the diverse needs of facility managers, building owners, architects, specifiers and end users alike.

“The B-823 is a landmark product launch for our soap dispensing category,” says Robert Paul, Marketing Category Manager for Soap Dispensing and Healthcare. “Never before have commercial facilities had access to a washroom product that facilitates savings and environmental responsibility in so many different ways. Plus, it looks fantastic on the countertop.”

The B-823’s universal, open system dramatically reduces cost-in-use versus proprietary cartridge systems that restrict open market purchasing freedom. It is estimated that in high traffic situations, the universal system alone can deliver up to $1,000 in savings per sink per year compared to proprietary systems. The universal system also makes the B-823 an exceptionally sustainable product, facilitating a 57 percent reduction in post-consumer waste compared to disposable cartridge systems, as well as 15 percent water savings compared to liquid soap.

The dispenser also saves time and strain for janitorial staff through a convenient, top-fill system — saving 25 percent of labor on refills compared to under-the-counter cartridge-based models.

Operable with less than five pounds of force, the ADA-compliant B-823 is complemented by an architectural design with finishes that harmonize with other washroom accessories and fixtures.
Inspired by Bobrick’s B-822 manual liquid soap dispenser, the new foam model features a vandal-resistant locking cover, a corrosion-resistant, bright-polished stainless steel spout and cover, a chrome-plated escutcheon, a high-impact-resistant ABS body and shank and a shatter-resistant polyethylene container.

“As today’s patrons grow to prefer a rich, lathery, hygienic handwash, the B-823 accommodates that and so much more,” Paul says. “Whether you’re an architect looking to reduce the washroom’s operating footprint or a facility manager seeking a long-term cost-savings strategy, the B-823 will fit the bill.”
