The active involvement of the facility executive is essential to the success of systems integration. It is the facility executive’s responsibility to:

  • Identify the need for systems integration
  • Determine the levels of integration needed
  • Evaluate the benefits and limitations of various approaches
  • Translate integration benefits into elements the boardroom can understand and embrace
  • Remain part of the systems integration team during installation
  • Stay actively involved in commissioning, maintenance and eventually recommissioning following completion of the new system.
