Congress and the Obama administration have taken a series of regulatory steps to encourage the production, sale, and purchase of highly efficient HVACR equipment. And in late 2009, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued rules governing the availability virgin HCFCs in 2010 and beyond. The new rules went into effect Jan. 1, 2010.
The Webcast, presented by the trade association for HVACR manufacturers, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and moderated by Maintenance Solutions editor Dan Hounsell, will discuss the importance of certified HVACR products in project plans and contracts that increasingly specify green products and processes. AHRI administers the program for certifying the performance of HVACR equipment. Equipment bearing the AHRI Certified® mark has undergone rigorous, third-party testing to ensure its performance matches the manufacturer's claims.
