LED Lighting Fixtures Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

12/18/2024

Manufacturer NetZero USA is recalling its line of high bay LED lighting fixtures due to a defect that can cause a fire hazard. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall report, the pins securing the fixture can degrade, causing the fixture’s electrically charged LED board to come loose and contact items nearby, which can catch on fire.

There have been seven reports so far of the high bay LED lighting fixtures burning or causing a fire. No injuries have been reported.

Facility managers who own the NetZero USA high bay LED lighting fixtures should examine the fixtures for signs of a loose LED board or discoloration of the lens. They should contact the manufacturer for information on repair or replacement.
